Event Host
Whether it is a face to face gathering, or a virtual coming-together, you can be assured of a very high-standard professional host. Chris has hosted in front of large audiences in a range of sectors, and always ensures a relaxed, yet well-structured, environment in which an event can achieve its aims and objectives. He is also always very willing to support and coach speakers from the organisation with whom he is working to help them deliver at their very best.
Presenter
Within both the corporate and sporting worlds, Chris has had the privilege to present a number of awards events, conferences and ceremonies, both to live audiences, and to camera in a studio environment, as well as reporting ‘in the field’ from projects and programmes. He has had feedback from industry professionals that he has the rare ability to lift what might appear relatively dry corporate TV content into genuinely engaging viewing.
Commentator
Having broadcast over 350 sporting events in 20+ years of commentating and reporting, Chris is very comfortable in providing commentary for TV, online live streaming, or radio. His particular expertise lies in cricket, rugby union and football, but he has also covered golf, tennis, rugby league, hockey and boxing among other sports. Chris has commentated locally, nationally and internationally for a range of networks (such as the BBC, talkSPORT, and a number of sport organisations’ own broadcast channels) and most recently some of his commentary featured in the Emmy Award-winning ‘Welcome to Wrexham’ documentary series on Disney+.
Interviewer
Chris particularly enjoys the opportunity to interview guests in-depth about their lives, successes, or current projects. As examples, he has hosted evenings with Jesse Armstrong (writer and Executive Producer of multi award-winning TV series ‘Succession’) and Chris Harris (automotive journalist and ‘Top Gear’ presenter) in front of large theatre audiences. Equally, he also enjoys interviewing less well-known people about their particular areas of expertise, and in ensuring a coherent flow of rich discussion which really resonates for the audience.
Facilitator
Chris is able to combine his broadcasting and interviewing experience with his corporate business experience in facilitating discussions and debates. Whether this is in a public context as part of an event, or ‘behind closed doors’ to resolve a complex issue with differing viewpoints, he has experience in successfully facilitating to reach an agreed outcome and clear ways forward for all parties.
PA Announcer
With a non-regional accent and broadcast experience to help with timing and emphasis, Chris has been sought as a PA announcer in football (Wrexham AFC), cricket (Lord’s cricket ground) and tennis (Liverpool International tournament). He always enjoys helping to create the right atmosphere for the environment in which he is working.
